Intentional leaders are deliberate with everything they do.

They are deliberate with their purpose, influence, relationships, calendar, and well-being. They are the proactive creators of their destiny. They are the drivers, not the passengers.

Being Intentional With Your Leadership

Either on your own, or with your team, identify an element that you think is missing from your team’s culture, and make a plan to infuse that element in your culture.

Some ideas to consider:

  • Psychological safety

  • Cognitive diversity

  • Willingness to do the hard things over the easy things

Being Intentional About Your Purpose

Find a time to have a deep and meaningful conversation with your team about your team’s and/or organization’s purpose.

Here are some questions to get you started:

  • What is our purpose?

  • How are we doing at fulfilling this purpose?

  • What could we do better to fulfill this purpose?

Being Intentional With Your Influence

Identify someone that you know you are going to interact with today. Be intentional with this interaction. Identify now, how you want them to feel after interacting with you.

Now put this in your phone as a reminder.
