Vertical development is about upgrading our internal operating system such that we elevate how we make meaning of our world in more cognitively and emotionally sophisticated ways.

If we truly want to be extraordinary, we have got to seek out, embrace, and encourage positive change.
As much as having a prevention mindset is comfortable, when we have a prevention mindset, we are the passenger of our life, at best. When we have a promotion mindset, we are the driver of our lives.
Just being able to clearly identify specific mindsets is powerful because it gives us specific targets that we can confidently focus in on. Without such identification and clear labels, we end up shooting a little haphazardly.
